Adobe Lightroom is designed specifically for digital photographers and offers powerful features to organize and edit your images. Taught by John Francis, this three week class will introduce you to the power of Lightroom, which is an essential prelude to an efficient and effective digital workflow.
You will learn how to import your images into Lightroom, add keywords and other metadata, select and reject images and organize your images into Collections. You will learn the differences between the various types of Collections in Lightroom, and how to retrieve your images based on almost any criteria.
You will also learn how to edit images quickly and efficiently, and how to create a highly efficient workflow that allows you to spend more time shooting and less time editing. You will learn how to integrate Lightroom with Photoshop, Export images in various formats, and harness the power of Lightroom’s Publish Services feature. We will briefly cover the Map Module and how to produce Photobooks, Slideshows and Web Pages directly from Lightroom. Finally we will discuss the amazing power of Lightroom for printing your images.
It is not necessary to have a laptop with Lightroom installed for this class, but you are welcome to bring one if you want to. This is a demonstrated class – all students receive class slides.
